How do I start using Top Right?

1. Create your Free Customer Dashboard

The dashboard gives you insight into your email marketing opportunities and provides you with a real-life demo of the tools.

Top Right creates a customer database from the Yahoo! store order history. You use a tool that Top Right provides that automatically extracts order data from the Yahoo! store system and processes the data for use in email marketing. The tool is available under the Tools tab in the Top Right application.

Step 1 Create Your Customer Dashboard - Download and Upload Orders to Top Right  

2. Review Dashboard and Use Free Tools

You can now access your customer dashboard, use the free HTML email creator (Product Grabber), and create customer segments.

At this point your account is not enabled to send emails and you do not have access to the email marketing tool.

3. Opportunity Review and Demo.

A Top Right email marketing expert will go over your dashboard with you. During the process you will get a demo of the complete product and you can discuss some opportunities and specific strategies that can enhance your business.

You will go over:

  • automatic list transfers
  • creating and sending an email
  • creating segments
  • automated (e.g. follow up reviews) emails
  • ROI reporting
  • Training and more
  • During this stage you can also discuss billing, transition from your existing Email Service Provider and any other questions you have.

    4. Execute Subscription Agreement (Contract)

    To send emails and access the complete system, you'll need to enter into an agreement with Top Right.

    5. Training

    With your subscription you get one hour free training. In addition, you have access to the online knowledgebase and case system that you access through the Help tab in the Top Right application. Additionally, Top Right will continue to reach to you during your engagement with the tool to ensure you are getting the most from the application.

    6. Subscription Forms

    During your training, Top Right will provide guidance on how to re-create, replace and improve the subscription (opt-in) forms on your site and provide examples where necessary.  Top Right may also make recommendations on how to enhance your subscription forms for greater list growth.

     7. Transfer Lists from Existing Email System

    Upon completion of the subscription forms, Top Right will request list(s) from your current email marketing system to maintain subscription status and guard against unwanted spam complaints.  Depending on your system it will be one list with a status field (typically unsubscribed, subscribed, hard bounced, soft bounced, other) or more than one list with email addresses of different status.

    8. Send Initial Email

    You are ready to send your first email. Typically we suggest that you send your regularly scheduled "blast" or normal emails first.You need to get familiar with the tools basic features before you get to the advanced stuff.

     9. Create Thank You and Other Triggered Emails.

    We strongly recommend that you send an initial "thank you" email or review request email to customers within 2-3 weeks of first purchase.  A detailed guide tutorial for a welcome ("thank you") email is available in the Top Right help system.

    NOTE: At no extra cost, Top Right will provide you with the actual HTML Code and hands-on consulting for reviews follow-up emails. It requires advanced knowledge of the email system and Top Right wants to ensure the implementation is correct and accurate.

    10. Initial Results Review

    Within a week or two of using the system, Top Right will review the results of your initial campaigns using the performance reports and standard email reports available on the system. During this initial review, you should become familiar with the reports and how to use them in the future.

    The goal is evaluate campaigns based on revenue contribution, not just opens and clicks.

    11. Explore Segmentation and Send Segmented Emails (Top Right Pro - FREE 3 month Trial).

    You have 3 months to explore the power of segmentation.  The goal is for you to send a couple of segmented emails and compare the Revenue performance of a segmented email to that of regular (blast) emails.

    Top Right can also provide additional consulting at this stage on both segmentation strategy as well as reviewing the performance.
